The Casino Royale Tournament was a great success. Our new venue, Billington Village Hall worked very well, our dealers worked hard all night, a good time was had by all, and once again, we raised over a thousand pounds for the various nominated charities. And the winners were...
Main Tournament
- First Place: Andrew Craig won £450 for the British Association for the Advancement of Science.
- Second Place: Nathan Richards won £300 for the Masonic Samaritan Fund.
- Third Place: Chris Montague won £150 for the Fire Service National Benevolent Fund.
...and in the Runner Up Tournament
- First Place: Mike Snowden won £150 for the Eileen Edgell Benefit Fund.
- Second Place: Neil Douse won £100 for CLIC Sargent.
- Third Place: Dean Calow won £50 for the Army Benevolent Fund.
Belated congratulations to all our worthy winners. Andrew Craig by the way, was a Poker Virgin at the start of the evening (or so he claimed), making it two years in a row that a newbie has won the Grand Prize!
